Sin City – Here We Come!
Senior travel to Las Vegas is a must. Everyone needs to travel to Las Vegas at least once in their life. It truly is Sin City. The extravagant buildings, the excesses, the fabulous food, the magnificent shows, and of course, all of the beautiful people. It assaults our senses. The makeover of the city is constant and you must see it all. You do not have to gamble to enjoy the sights of the city. But if you do, there are plenty of choices.
Travel to Las Vegas
All senior travel to Las Vegas should include walking into as many hotels as possible. You will be delighted as you investigate the different theme hotels. They are amazing. New York, New York looks just like the skyline of the city. The statue of liberty is prominent in front of the skyscrapers.
You can opt for a roller-coaster ride and spend some time in the hotel. The hotel feels like New York. Try the deli sandwiches or some New York pizza. Find a favorite spot and just people watch. The hotel is as fascinating as the city.
Caesar’s Palace is full of statues and paintings. There are life-like huge figures of the “Gods” inside the Forum Shops at Cesar’s Palace. You can find anything and everything in the forum. When you travel to Las Vegas it is daylight in the hotels 24 hours a day! You can not discern if it is night or day. There are no clocks in Las Vegas.
Gambling is Rampant!
Remember, you will always lose. So decide to be a winner and just gamble for entertainment. Thre is no way to beat the house so do not even try. We have all heard about those winners who became fabulously rich overnight from gambling in Las Vegas. Don’t count on it. The electric bills are not paid by the winners!
Food, Food, and More Food
Senior travel to Las Vegas is exciting. You can hop over to Planet Hollywood in the morning and order crepes. How about lunch with Wolfgang Puck? Dinner at a buffet would be great. Have your fill of soups, meats, turkey, vegetables, exotic soups, sushi, salads, stone crabs, lobster and so much more. The food is filling and delicious. End the meal with coffee and all the exotic desserts you can handle.
In between meals walk off some of the calories by traipsing up and down the strip. Stop in front of the Mirage and see the volcano erupt. See the dancing waters at Bellagio. The pirates at TI (Treasure Island) fight every night as the water sirens sing.
Entertainment
The Knights of the round table at Excalibur joust nightly, only to come back again the next evening. Visit the Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay and you may want to dive with the aquarium’s sharks. Gondola rides are available inside the Venetian and there is an elevator to the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
The very hardy can travel at unknown speeds on the rollercoaster at New York, New York. Or try the rides at the top of the Stratosphere. You can walk around at the top of the needle and look down thru glass floors towards the streets of Las Vegas. The view is unbelievable.
Every hotel boasts that they have the best show on the strip. Celine Deon, Rod Stewart, The Blue Man Group, Cirque de Soleil, Donnie and Marie, the eternal Wayne Newton, Jerry Seinfeld, Brad Garrett, circus acts, magic acts, comedy acts, David Copperfield, Penn and Teller, Carrot Top. The list is endless and so are the possibilities when you travel to Las Vegas.
Seniors, you must travel to Las Vegas, just to see the sights.
