What a Story To Tell

Background

The water pipes in a rented home were leaking. The sheetrock (drywall) in several rooms of the house had to be removed to repair the damage. Wesley, a sheetrock contractor, was engaged to fix the damage. TC is living in the home and RL is the owner.

Just wanted to let you know we had a minor incident with the sheetrock this afternoon. It’s funny in hindsight but not at the time. My cat decided to hide under the tub in the hall bath. She was initially hiding under my bed, and I kept going back to see if I could talk her into coming out. But then she was gone.

We were all looking for her while the workers were here. I kept calling for her but no answer. I thought she had slipped out through the garage. But about a 1/2 hour after the workers left, I heard scratching from the sheetrocked wall. She must have gotten into the wall before it was sealed!

I called Wesley’s Sheetrock Company and they said to just make a hole to get her out and they would be back to fix it. I think I’m more traumatized than the cat. Anyway, wanted to let you know what happened.

I am sorry but I did laugh when I read your note! Cats will be cats. I am glad she is OK. It could have been worse!

Thanks. I know, I’m laughing about it now. What a story to tell!
